The Cross and Sword of King Jesus
• Dan Kopp • Series: The Cross Means More Than You Think
On Palm Sunday 2,000 years ago, Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey proclaiming Himself to be king. But instead of leading a bloody revolt and slaughtering the Romans, King Jesus chose to die on the Cross. And yet, at the end of days, some who read about the battle of Armageddon in the book of Revelation describe Jesus as a “fighter with a sword in His hand and the commitment to make someone bleed.” How can you reconcile those two radically different portrayals of Jesus? Come Sunday to find out! (And yes, we'll be passing out palms for you to take home!)
