Holy Spirit Soldiers
• Series: Mountains Can Move Again
This Sunday marks two important holidays... one on the American Calendar and one on the Christian Calendar: Memorial Day and Pentecost. When someone joins one of our Armed Forces, the goal is not to just enlist and think your job is done… right? That new soldier would need to go to basic training, learn how to use weapons, and be willing to go to war when called upon… right? Realizing that being a "soldier" is one of the ways God describes Christians (see 2 Timothy 2:4), why, then, do Christians living in America often act as if their job is done once they "enlist" in the Christian faith by accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior?
